Actionlaser produces a wide range of products custom perforated to various required sizes and shapes.
We manufacture a range of perforated screens, including:
Our advanced laser perforation technology is also applied in the production of custom tubular product, including:
Actionlaser supply OEMs and aftermarket services with melt discs fitted to most industry-leading polymer and plastic recycling machines.
Our advanced laser perforating process uses focused laser energy to drill millions of small holes in metal sheet, creating a ‘LaserScreen’. Each hole is drilled [vaporized] with a single pulse of the laser beam. Advantages of the laser drilling process include:
Flexibility in the types of materials that can be drilled. Our laser perforation process can be applied to a range of materials, including stainless steel, steel alloy, tool steel, titanium, aluminium and carbon fibre composites. |
Ease of setup to meet various specifications and drilling patterns. We have 6 high tech lasers utilising our proprietary laser drilling software to produce a range of planar screen sizes and shapes to meet customer requirements. |
High strength and robustness. LaserScreens can be produced with an Aspect Ratio of up to and in some cases in excess of 10:1 for circular holes or up to 5:1 for slots. Due to this feature, LaserScreens are very strong and robust for the aperture size. As a comparison, the maximum Aspect Ratio for mechanically punched sheet is only 1:1. |
Meets industry cleaning standards. Our LaserScreens can be manufactured with various width unperforated margins, enabling the screens to conform to stringent national and industry cleaning standards. Common ‘punched plate’ screens without margins allow material to collect and resist normal CIP procedures. LaserScreens also have smooth planer surfaces allowing for an easy wipe clean operation. |
Economical screen life. LaserScreens are made from tough durable materials, providing economical screen life. |
Promotes efficiencies in surface flow and particle size cut. The ‘Working Face’ surface of our LaserScreens is smooth, which combined with sharp-edged apertures give benefits in surface flow and particle size ‘cut’. |
High resistance to clogging or blockage. Our LaserScreen apertures are tapered. The aperture diameter or width on the ‘back’ side of our LaserScreens is typically 1.5 to 2.5 larger than the aperture size on the ‘working face’. This means our LaserScreens are highly resistant to clogging or blockage in filtration applications. |
